Happy Belated Valentines Day and Reading Week to everyone. I’d like to share with you guys my newest and brightest addition to the winter wear family. I’ve been religiously watching for this coat for a while– stalking on eBay, searching on Kijiji. I often tell people when it comes to making big purchases, ‘If it’s meant to be, then you’re meant to have it.’ For me, $200 is a steep price to pay for a winter coat, let alone $400+ tax. I intentionally went into the store, looking for a gift, while looking…I saw this very coat in the corner of the sales section and on the floor. It was marked down with an additional percentage off, leaving it to total under $150. Funny enough, 2 days later J. Crew had 50% off markdowns. The coat would have been under $100..

The results of having a very busy day schedule and a broken tripod lead to these blog photos. Not too shabby, right? Haha. It’s been a while since I’ve posted but I wanted to make up for it by improvising– SLR + my great full length Dollarama bedroom mirror + my desk lamp as my light source + my iPhone. #selfies #ootd. This was actually my outfit for the J. Crew SS’14 event held at the Toronto Eaton Centre.

Like my matching shirt and shoes? Drop by the site, they’re still available and on sale.

Happy Lunar New Year! Hope everyone’s doing well and enjoying this week. School and work has been hectic with me. (I believe this has already been applied to most.) Life in generally– really. But that’s no reason to convince yourself that you’re living a fraught landscape. Things only work out, if you do them yourself. Digression– here’s my #OOTD. Fun Fact: my black sweater was $2 and my skirt was only $10! Thought I would also mention Facebook’s cool, new mobile app called ‘Paper‘ is coming out soon. Bye for now!

Disheveled Elegance

I can’t tell you how much I’ve longed to travel to Australia one day and stay there for a good year or so. My extensive to-do and experience list includes and is not limited to– their great hiking locations, wildlife, beaches, clothing labels and did I mention accents? Today I stumbled upon and discovered an Australian clothing label called ‘AJE.’ And boy…are their pieces extremely heart-breaking to look at. As their company describes themselves, they are ‘A label synonymous to effortless glamour, tough femininity and “disheveled elegance.”’ The majority of their pieces are all textured, shiny and hand-embellished. I have a huge appreciation for details and great craftsmanship. I used to be only familiar and be a fan of Lover the Label. But now we can add AJE to the list. Check out their Resort 13′ 14!
