Morning Glory

PINSPIRATION INTERIOR THURSDAY

Today's interior pinspiration is...inspired by one of my favourite contemporary artists, Lisa Madigan, and her Kaleidoscope collection featuring her piece called 'Morning Glory.' This morning I felt I had to share these wonderful Pinterest finds from my interior board since I have a hidden soft spot for interior and all things muted. Because just look at those greys, pinks and pinches of black! ...and gold too. Oh how I also love mixing old regal retails to contemporary minimal spaces. My days of watching Debbie Travis and Martha Stewart probably lead me down this route. Here to me hoping one day I'll be able to find and of course afford a large enough space to do all this decor work. Most likely not be in Toronto in this case.

SHOP MY PICKS

White Overalls

Nothing screams youth and summer like rocking a pair of overalls.

To elevate the look and make it look more mature and feminine, I paired the pinafore dress with a lace off the shoulder top from The Reformation. (An amazing eco-friendly label!) Whether it's an off the shoulder top or dress, I feel like the exposure of your shoulders is ultra feminine, sexy and still appropriate while still wearing some sleeves. It's a beautiful area to reveal...including your collar bone. Baring my shoulders is one of the reasons why I look forward to summer. It's a nice subtle way to show some skin for those hot days and add a bit of mystery.

Crossroads

Hello lovely darlings! I always tend to forget that the best places to be are the hidden gems in such a big city. Clearly those recent and constant rainy days got me thinking of more indoor places. Here in Kensington market, there’s just so much to be found. Countless patios, food, vintage goodies, amazing treasures and drool worthy vegan and non-vegan sweets! Don’t let the awkward location being in the middle of China Town fool you— this area has really cool vibes. I have to thank Mack Canelas for suggesting to come here, whom I also had the great pleasure of meeting and shooting via Instagram.

Check out more beautiful photos by Mack (one of my favourite shoots by far) and read more...

Bell Sleeves Gal

Hello lovely readers! I see you eyeing at my bag and scratching your heads. Trying to figure out 'Cynthia got her hands on a Drew bag by Chloe? But how??' Simple answer. It's actually Forever21! If you haven't already seen it on other bloggers then low and behold, this 'Drew' inspired bag from Forever21 is only about $30! In three different colours too.

Minty Fresh

Hello new folks and fellow readers! Here I am in the pixel and light, in a much more basic look. Aside from wearing your standard dress and skirts for the summer. I decide to get in tuned with my minimal slash casual side and toss on the most common shades-- being black and white and spruce it up with my mint Bonitas by Sophia Webster. Which by the way, I've been dying to wear since I scored them for nearly nothing from the Net-a-Porter sale from last winter. (Pssssst... they're having another huge sale right now too.) And if you know me well, you know I don't put my heels down just for any pair of flat shoes..
